This app eliminates any reading you may not want to do by providing a friendly, travel-sized tour guide. You may choose between Rick or Renee, whom are equally insightful. Rick will provide a more modern and fun tour, while Renee will provide a more traditional tour.
Rick will inform you of facts that a younger crowd may enjoy. For example, he would tell you which movies were filmed around any locations you are visiting, if any. He will also provide shortcuts and a less senic route.
Renee will inform you of more historical and by the book facts. For example, she will inform you of how old a location is and how long it took to build. She will also provide a more senic route to be sure you explore New York thoroughly.
Create Your Tour
Apple A Day allows users to create their own tours or customize existing tours. Even create tours well in advance for that planned vacation. This app will allow you to efficiently organize your time for a more forfilling trip. The simple search mechanism allows you to find tour spots with ease. You can search by categorey or if you have a location in mind you can search for it directly in the search bar.
There is an abundant amount of premade tours that the app provides, and the nnumber continues to grow. There are tours available for all types. From museum goers to nature lovers to someone in between. However the premade tours are not se in stone. You also have the option to customize our premade tours more to your liking. Customuzation is as simple as the search mechanism. Simply slide left on the location you wish to change and you can either switch it out or delete it all together.
If you are not the organizing and planning type, and would prefer to just wing it, there is the "Tour As You Go" option. The way this option works is that the app will locate the closest locations to you for you to choose from. Then after choosing one it will give you directions to the location and after finishing with the location it will show you what is now the closest to you.

Q: How do I create a tour in advance?
A: To Create a our in advance you will tap the calendar in the top right corner. Then tap on the date you wish to create the tour and start adding locations. Simple as that!
Q: Do I have to make an account?
A: You do not need to make an account. The app will recognize your phone and remember all your tours and visited locations. if you get a new phone or need to change phones for any reason, at the bottom of your preferences is an "account number." You will use that number to transfer your account to a new phone.
Q: Why does the app wish to know my location?
A: In order to provide a more accurate and a stress free experience, Apple A Day requests your location. If you do not allow the app to access your location you will have a tough time navigating. We do not share your information with anyone or anything, we only wish to provide excelent service.
Q: What if I can't finish a tour?
A: If you are unable to finish a tour then simply close the app. If you do not continue the tour within a certain amount of time, the app will store it in your "Continue Tour" calendar.
